Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!!!! Well this is my
last report for 2009...Thank you for all your
support and friendship. We got a nice
snow day yesterday. We are still finding
the steelhead. All the fish have all
been hatchery fish. I know the wild fish
are moving and will be here soon. I
still have great dates for
January.

Ho Ho Ho. I got to fish with my father
today. The steelhead are on the
move. Lots of pressure today, but
fishing was good.
Trinity

The storms have started the winter run. I
will taking a few days off to fish with my
family this week. The number of
steelhead are increasing in the lower
river. I hope everyone has great
Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you
to everyone who fished with me in 2009.
We look forward to the 2010 season.
Merry Christmas from Huber family.

The storms have finally started. With rain
in the afternoon forecasted for today, I woke
up to snow. I think I am going to become
a weather person in my next life. What
job can you have and be wrong 50% of the
time?. I just love fishing in the
snow. We had a great day going 3 for
5. The steelhead were all hatchery in
the 5 to 6 lbs range. The bigger storms
are coming in the weekend. This will
kick this river into high gear with winter
steelhead.

The action has been tough with no rain. We
are working hard for our clients
fish. We are going to see the fishing
pick up with some weather. It looks like
we are going to get some storms all
week. Check out Jim's first
steelhead.

The weather was cold and sunny today. The
boat pressure was very heavy. It took us
a while, but we landed 2 nice adults.
Peggy and Bill were very glad we had the
heater in the boat.
Trinity Rivers

The steelhead fishing has been tough this
week. We have landed adults
everyday. The numbers will start to pick
up with the rain and colder weather.
Check out Jim's video on his steelhead.

The fishing on the Trinity has been work. I know
that there is a lot of talk about what has
happen to the fish. Our salmon season
for 2009 is almost done and we will be
switching to steelhead. The steelhead
numbers look good. Here are a few
pictures from the last few weeks. I want
to thank everyone for reading the fishing
report and emails

The fishing season on the Klamath has come to end
for us this year. We had a great time
and I hope you did too. Here are some
last minute picture still to post. I am
home on the Trinity. I was hoping for a
better start, but I still have great
hope. We are getting fish, but the
number of salmon still can improve. A
nice rain storm will help. We are
getting some weather on Monday- Wednesday and
the fish will push up. The steelhead
season looks good. Fish On!!!! Check out
Glenn's first steelhead !!! Bryan with a nice
tag steelhead.

The fishing over the weekend was not the
best. We still got fish, but the
pressure was heavy. Monday the river was
very light and the bite was good. Here
are some more pictures. I have 6 days
left on the Klamath and then back home.
The counts at the weir have really increased
last week. We are going to have a big
salmon and steelhead season on the
Trinty. Do not wait for dates.
Fish On!!!

The fishing derby went very well for the D.P.R
boy's. We took second in both length and
wild cards. Rock, paper, scissors...
nice job Ralph. The past few days have
been great with new fishing coming in.
Here are a few picture of our catches.....More
to come. Fish On!!!!!
Klamath

The fishing has been tough the last couple of
days. We have been getting 6 to 8 fish a
day with jacks and a few nice adults.
The tides are better over the weekend and the
fish should push in. I have some great
families the last couple of days. Here
is a great fighting fish picture. We are
in the big A.F.F derby Friday and
Saturday. Any place but last.........
Klamath

The fishing is just getting better. We had
our limit for the last 2 days. We had a
great time betting on who is going to get the
next fish. Here are a few
pictures. Check out my open dates.
Sorry David I will add your picture
later......Thanks Steve

The water was a little more peaceful after a the
long weekend. We headed out for fun
fishing day today. We started out the
day with helping a boat off the rocks.
We got to our first hole and Gary made a cast
upstream. The rod loaded up and the
fight was on.....45 minutes. We
landed a 26 lbs salmon. Our 3
pass, John and I hooked the same
salmon...I think he was hungry. The fish
are starting to move into the holes and more
fish are moving in. More to come
soon........Fish On

of fish happened this week. The nets for
the commercial season are done. Here is
a recap of the week. I only have a few
open dates......We told you it was going to be
a great season. l have a few open dates

After starting my day a little rocky...With a lot
of help from Mario and Kenny I got back to
fishing. The bite was a little slow
today, we still landed some nice adults.
The fish are moving up river fast. The
cold water is just what both the Trinity and
Klamath needed. We got a bear to come
out to the water yesterday. Fish on!!!!
Klamath
Rivers 8-27-09
The fishing has picked up with the release of the
water. We landed 7 salmon today and I
hope this is just the start of a big September
salmon season. Tom had big salmon of the
week at 18lbs. Ray at 72 years young, gave his
son and grandson a lesson today. Christian
I will have your picture up tomorrow.

The fishing is still good, but will only get
better. Here are a few pictures to tell
you about our weekend. The daily average
is 1 to 5 fish a day right now. I just
can't tell you if is going to be 2 lbs or
35lbs. I am fishing the estuary on the
right tides and up river for salmon and
steelhead. Allan White was up again (the
new Gary). Gary will retire at the end
of the month and take over deck handing thru
Sept. The was Kathy's first adult salmon.

The fishing was fun with Alex and Andrew
today. Watching kids catch fish is great
to me as a guide. We hooked 3 steelhead
and 2 salmon today. We landed one of
each with a few 1/2 pounders mixed in.
All the steelhead came flying out of the
water, what a rush. Phil you got some great
kids!!!! Fish On!!!!

The action has been great with both salmon and
steelhead. I had the Brewton crew for
the last 2 days. We Landed 7 adults
steelhead, 5 wild and 2 hatchery, 8 jack
salmon, 20+ 1/2 pounders. I would call
that a good 2 days fishing. I just had
Saturday August 22nd open up. I still
have a few dates in August and Sept.
This was Keith's first adult steelhead.
Don't wait, Fish On!!

The water temp in the Klamath has dropped 5
degrees the last few days. The fish are
ready to go. We had a great Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. I got to fish with
my boys. Kyle and Jordan are now 14 and
11, ready to take over the business.
Jordan hooked 3 salmon landing 2 out of 3 all
on his own. That was way cool for
dad. Kyle just waited and when the time
came went 2 for 2 on the adult salmon.
Friday numbers were 18 @ 1/2 pounders, 5
adults wild steelhead and 2 jack salmon.
Saturday we landed 4 out of 5 salmon.
9lbs, 10lbs , 13lbs and one jack. With
the help of Gordon and Glenn we filmed it all
and will have it up on the web soon. We
got out early today with only a 1/2 day to
fish, going 2 for 4 with another jack and
steelhead. With better tides this week,
the fish are going to move in.

The steelhead fishing on the Klamath has been a
little slow the last few days. We have managed
to hook and land some really nice kings down
in the mouth. We landed a 24, 18, 17
salmon the last 2 days. I have open
dates and the fishing will only get
better. I hope to have my laptop fix
tomorrow and more picture and reports to
come. Make sure to lock up your
dates. Fish On !!! Nice job

The 2009 season on the Klamath has just started
for us. I got the camper setup over the
weekend and now taken the jet boat up
tomorrow. I got a chance to fish the
Gary Farley, one of the best on the
Klamath. We want to check out the river
for moss and see what is going on in the
mouth. I was just hoping for one or two
fish, but just want to be on the river in cool
weather. As you can see by the pictures
with did both. The steelhead are in get
shape and just pushing up. The salmon
are starting to move in and out of the
mouth. Just remember we have a full
salmon season on the Klamath and Trinity with
2 adults and one jack per person per
day. I still have open dates and other
guides for a large group. Please don't
want for all the pictures, the fish are
coming. The Trinity is still seeing 1 to
3 fish per trip, the hot weather making the
fishing very hard in the afternoon. Your
best is in the early am or late pm. I
will start my trips back on the Trinity in
October. Fish On !!!!
Trinity

The week on the river has been up and down.
We are getting 1 to 3 fish per trip. The
salmon are moving very fast with the lower
flows this year. Took a float with Vincent
in Junction City and landed this beautiful
hatchery steelhead. Action will get
better with more fish pushing up the
Klamath. I have very limited dates for
the Klamath, don't wait. The fish are
coming. Limits on are 2 adults and one
jack. Yes you can keep salmon on the
Trinity and Klamath this year!!!!!!!

The 2009 salmon has started. We are looking
forward to a good season. Please make
sure you have your dates now. We are
going to be very busy. The Klamath had
been seeing a good number of springers and
steelhead coming in. The Trinity has
just started and will only get better with the
lower water flow this season. I have
almost finished my summer project. The
drift boat was refinished and is ready to
go. Fish On!!!

The striper action has been tough with the
weather hot, then cold. Wednesday it was

hats. The fields for rice have started
flooding and the water has dropped. The
stripers are in small groups in the Colusa
area. We have been drifting live
minnows. I still have dates
open.

the Colusa area. Our salmon season is
going to big again next year. I have
very limited time on the Klamath and open

The river dropped back into shape late
Tuesday. I know we got some much needed
rain. I went 2 for 3 today and hope the
numbers will improve with better
weather. The creeks will start seeing
the wild steelhead move up them. The
talk for the salmon season on the Klamath and
Trinity looks great. I will be very busy
again. Please make sure to have your
2009 salmon dates NOW !!!!!. I will be
on the Klamath Aug and Sept. Trinity
