Coquille River Fishing
The Coquille provides us with a great close-by backup fishery when the Rogue and Coos salmon are not cooperating. Along with a good run of King Salmon, the Coquille has a very good run of both hatchery and wild Silver Salmon. Most years there is limited season for retention of wild Silver (coho) Salmon. During the season we drop our crab pots out for an extra bonus.
Season runs... King salmon enter the Coquille in Mid- late August with the run peaking in September. Silvers enter the Coquille Estuary in mid-September and remain well into October.
